The much-anticipated dead by daylight 2v8 mode will be available to players starting next week. As previously confirmed during the Dead by Daylight 8th anniversary stream, 2v8 is a fast-paced, chaotic mode in which two killers team up to hunt down and kill eight survivors. Players will have until August 8 to try this mode.

Fans of Dead by Daylight

Who have been begging Behaviour Interactive for years for a 2v8 mode, will be happy to hear that their long-requested feature will be available starting next week. There will be five iconic maps where Dead by Daylight's 2v8 mode can be played. The generators "have also been doubled," according to Behaviour, and the maps have been extended to suit the increased number of participants. To get off the map, survivors only need to fix eight of the thirteen generators.

The elimination of Hooks and Perks

And the direct placement of downed survivors in cages are two more modifications made to the dead by daylight 2v8 mode. Additionally, to emphasize teamwork more, a class system is replacing Survivor Perks. Killers will gain "alterations to their powers," as well as a team-based ability that will enable them to intensify the chaos, in addition to the abolition of classes.

Behaviour confirmed cross-progression will be available in Dead by Daylight

starting on July 22 in addition to 2v8. This will enable users to synchronize their purchases and progress across all of the platforms that the well-liked asymmetrical horror game is accessible on. Players must have a Behaviour account and a copy of the base game for the platform(s) on which they want to play Dead by Daylight in order to access cross-progression.

And, perhaps most intriguing of all, Behaviour quietly disclosed today's release date for The Casting of Frank Stone. This new horror game is a spin-off from Supermassive Games, the team behind Until Dawn and The Quarry, and is set in the Dead by Daylight universe.

In conclusion, the dead by daylight 2v8 mode offers a thrilling new way for players to experience the game.
