Randy Orton’s Elden Ring Adventure: 600 Hours and Counting
Randy Orton, the veteran WWE Superstar, has clocked an impressive 600 hours in Elden Ring. It’s not uncommon for WWE stars to enjoy video games—Cody Rhodes and Xavier Woods have been quite vocal about their passion for gaming. However, Orton’s dedication to Elden Ring stands out. Back in 2022, Orton shared on Twitter that his character in the game had reached level 527, a feat that raised eyebrows. He later admitted to spending $1,000 to obtain "infinite runes," giving him a significant boost in leveling up. Despite this, Orton has assured fans that he’s genuinely invested in the game, recently revealing his extensive playtime.
Orton disclosed this during Cody Rhodes' What Do You Wanna Talk About video series
While discussing John Cena’s appearance as Peacemaker in Mortal Kombat 1, Orton reminisced about how he used to tease Rhodes for playing video games during their time together in The Legacy stable in WWE. Rhodes quipped, "Yeah, that's you now," referring to Orton’s current obsession with Elden Ring. Orton then shared that he’s spent "like 600 hours" exploring the game’s world.
Orton also explained that his gaming time increased significantly while he was recovering from spinal fusion surgery
He described how he would immerse himself in the game after his kids went to bed, while his wife shopped online. "It’s like Christmas every day at my house," Orton joked. For fans of Elden Ring and Orton alike, the game’s appeal remains strong, especially with the recent release of the Shadows of the Erdtree expansion over the summer. The DLC quickly became a hit, selling over five million copies in under a week and offering some of the most challenging content FromSoftware has ever produced, ensuring players like Orton will be entertained for months to come.
