Pokemon Go Adventure Week is launching an exciting new event
Later this week that promises to enhance players' chances of finding Shiny Pokemon. Starting on Friday, August 2nd at 10 a.m. and running until August 12th at 11:59 p.m. local time, Adventure Week will primarily focus on hatching Pokemon from Eggs.
Increased Shiny Rates
The main attraction of Pokemon Go Adventure Week is the increased Shiny odds for several Pokemon hatching from 7 km Eggs. This event presents a perfect opportunity for players to use their Incubators. The Pokemon with boosted Shiny rates include:
- Amaura
- Archen
- Cranidos
- Shieldon
- Tirtouga
- Tyrunt
These Pokemon won't appear in the wild during the event but can be encountered through Field Research tasks and Egg hatches. All featured Pokemon are fossil-related from the main series games. Players can also expect to see fossil Pokemon like Omanyte and Kabuto in the wild. Some Field Research tasks will reward players with Mega Energy for Aerodactyl, a great chance for those who haven't Mega Evolved one yet.
Paid Timed Research
For those needing extra Incubators, a paid Timed Research option will be available during Pokemon Go Adventure Week. Priced at $2.00, this research will reward players with two Incubators, one Super Incubator, and encounters with "event-themed Pokemon." It's unclear if these encounters will include Pokemon with increased Shiny rates, but it's a valuable addition for those participating in the event.
Focus on Egg Hatching
Over the past two years, Niantic has emphasized outdoor play and Egg hatching in Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go Adventure Week continues this trend, but without introducing new Pokemon exclusively via Egg hatches. Instead, increasing Shiny rates encourages players to explore and engage with the game more actively.
Pokemon Go Adventure Week is set to be an exciting time for Pokemon Go players, offering unique opportunities to find Shiny Pokemon and enjoy new in-game challenges. Don’t miss out on this chance to enhance your collection and make the most of your Incubators.
