Fortnite Finally Introduces Marvel's Black Cat Skin Fans Have Been Eager For

Felicia Hardy is now part of Fortnite's Battle Royale. On Friday, Epic Games unveiled the much-awaited Black Cat skin, adding the iconic Marvel antihero, Felicia Hardy, also known as Black Cat, to the game. This release aligns with Fortnite's current Marvel-themed season, titled "Absolute Doom," which started last month.

The Black Cat skin and accompanying backpack are available for 1,500 V-bucks, while the Bad Luck Claws pickaxe costs 800 V-bucks, and the Cat’s Tracks weapon wrap is priced at 500. Additionally, fans of Fortnite Festival can grab the Black Cat guitar for 800 V-bucks. A bundle containing all the Black Cat items is available for 2,300 V-bucks.

Who Is Marvel's Black Cat?

Black Cat, created by Marv Wolfman, Keith Pollard, and Dave Cockrum, first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #194 in 1979. Originally intended as an antagonist for Spider-Woman, Felicia Hardy is the daughter of famous cat burglar Walter Hardy. She eventually adopts her own vigilante persona, drawing the attention of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, with whom she has had a complicated relationship, often as both friend and love interest. In recent years, Black Cat has headlined her own comic series and partnered with Mary Jane Watson.

Although primarily a street-level hero, Felicia has the unique ability to influence luck, causing misfortune to those around her. Black Cat has appeared in several Spider-Man adaptations, including animated series and video games like Marvel's Spider-Man. In 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2, she was portrayed by Felicity Jones in a loosely adapted version.
