Bethesda has just launched a brand-new installment
In its renowned Elder Scrolls series, and it’s completely free to download and play. While many fans are still eagerly awaiting The Elder Scrolls 6, which is in development but likely far off, Bethesda has introduced The Elder Scrolls: Castles to keep players engaged in the meantime.
Now available on iOS and Android, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is essentially the Elder Scrolls version of Fallout Shelter. Players can build and manage their own castle, which will house their dynasty for generations. Beyond the castle’s walls, players will face off against familiar Elder Scrolls enemies to earn gear and upgrade their characters.

Bethesda's decision to release Castles makes sense. Given the immense success of Fallout Shelter, which surpassed 200 million downloads since its 2015 launch, creating a similar experience for the Elder Scrolls universe seems like a natural move. Whether Castles will achieve the same level of success as Fallout Shelter remains to be seen.
