New Godzilla and Kong Games Announced
Exciting news for Monsterverse fans, Legendary has revealed that three new video games featuring Godzilla and Kong are in the works. As the Monsterverse continues to expand with upcoming movies like Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Legendary is also focusing on bringing these titanic creatures to the gaming world. This week, the company announced that fans can expect not just one, but three new Monsterverse-themed games. One game will spotlight Kong, another will feature both Kong and Godzilla, and the third will offer a unique experience within the Roblox platform, similar to how other major franchises have teamed up with Roblox.
The first of these games, Godzilla x Kong: Titan Chasers
Is set to launch next month on September 5th. This mobile-only title isn’t just about Kong and Godzilla; it includes a host of other monstrous creatures as well. Developed by Hunted Cow Games, known for titles like Warhammer Chaos & Conquest, Titan Chasers is a 4X strategy game. Players will build bases and engage in turn-based combat against various monsters, including Skullcrawlers, Mother Longlegs, Coralmouth, Psychovulture, Sporefly Queen, and Volt Panther. Although Titan Chasers was previously announced, it was included in Legendary’s latest reveal as part of their broader Monsterverse plans.
The second game, Kong: Survivor Instinct
Focuses solely on Kong. Developed by 7Levels, this 2.5D game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. In this game, players will take on the role of a father searching for his missing daughter in a city under threat from monstrous forces. A teaser for Kong: Survivor Instinct was unveiled this week, though a specific release date has yet to be confirmed. It’s expected to launch later this year. Paweł Biela, co-founder of 7Levels, expressed his excitement about working on the Monsterverse IP, highlighting the team’s commitment to capturing the essence of these iconic creatures.
Lastly, there’s the Monsterverse Roblox project. While details are scarce, this game will bring the Monsterverse into Roblox, allowing players to experience the world of Godzilla and Kong in new and innovative ways. Roblox users have long been creating their own Monsterverse-inspired content, but this will be the first official, licensed experience on the platform. Set to release later this year, Monsterverse Roblox is expected to attract a wide audience, though no exact launch date has been provided.
