The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom has confirmed that Link will be a playable character in the upcoming game

Since Zelda herself is the primary player-controlled character in Echoes of Wisdom, it stands out from other Zelda games, as was clear when the game was first revealed last month. Though Zelda will always have the upper hand, there will be times when players take control of Link.

Recently, the ESRB posted its official rating for The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

Which revealed new details about the game. The ESRB states that players play as Zelda as she attempts to heal the rifts throughout Hyrule and save Link. The description goes on to say that players fight enemies with swords and arrows while Zelda can summon creatures (like wind-up knights, pig soldiers, and slime) with a magic wand. Some enemies can be defeated by burning, while other creatures dissolve into mist. Battle sequences are a little chaotic, with multiple enemies attacking/fighting at once.

The fact that Link may be played, even if only in select areas, gives the game a thrilling new element. The ESRB did not, however, elaborate on the scope of these gaming segments featuring Link. Fans eager to see how the dual playability would be implemented have been fueling conjecture and building anticipation with this information.

Nintendo hasn't revealed many more facts about The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom yet. Not much information about the game has been released other than the first reveal trailer. The imminence of the game's September 26, 2024 release date is one possible explanation for its secrecy. With little over two months remaining, it's probable that Nintendo is getting ready to launch a more comprehensive marketing campaign as the release date draws near.
