Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Introduces Save and Quit Feature for Zombies Mode
In a highly anticipated update, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to finally deliver a feature that fans have long been asking for: the ability to save and quit during Zombies mode. This new addition will allow players to preserve their progress in long-running Zombies matches, making it possible to pick up right where they left off. However, this feature will only be available for solo players; those engaging in multiplayer sessions will not have the option to save their game.
Enhanced Features for Zombies Mode
Beyond the save-and-quit capability, Black Ops 6 is also introducing several enhancements designed to improve the multiplayer Zombies experience. Players will now have the option to join a game in progress or rejoin if they get disconnected. These updates aim to provide a more seamless and enjoyable experience for players participating in group matches.
The save-and-quit feature has been a long-time request from the Call of Duty community. Solo players will be able to save their game after pausing, but the system will also automatically save their progress if they remain inactive for a significant amount of time. This ensures that players don’t lose their progress even if they have to step away from the game.
Treyarch highlighted the significance of this update
Stating, "For the first time in Zombies, you can choose to save your Solo match at any time, provided you are at full health, not downed, dead, or engaged in an Exfil. The game will also automatically save your state if you are AFK for a while."
This new feature is particularly valuable in the event of a disconnect. If a solo player experiences a server crash or other issues, they can load their save file and continue from the last saved point. Although it remains unclear whether a save point is created automatically upon crashing or if it must be manually set, the ability to resume from a recent save will be a welcome addition for many.
For those playing in groups, Black Ops 6 will also allow players to rejoin a match if they are disconnected, as long as the host remains active. Treyarch explained,
"If you disconnect from a Squad Match but the Host is still active, you can rejoin and continue the match after a brief period of spectating."
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to launch on October 25th, bringing with it these exciting new features that are sure to enhance the Zombies mode experience.
