Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has faced another delay
With its release now pushed to 2025. The sequel to the cult classic was originally announced by Paradox Interactive in 2019. Since then, the game's development has been fraught with challenges, including a change in studios—from Hardsuit Labs to The Chinese Room. Although fans had hoped to see Bloodlines 2 before the end of this year, Paradox has confirmed that this won’t be the case.
In a recent update on Paradox's official website
The company announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is now scheduled for release in the first half of 2025. The delay is attributed to the desire to refine the game further before its launch. Paradox noted that while they could have released the game in late 2024 as initially planned, they believe that taking extra time to polish Bloodlines 2 will ultimately benefit the final product.
Earlier this year
Paradox reiterated our commitment to delivering high-quality games to our audience. This delay reflects that commitment, the update stated.
"Although the game is in a good state, both Paradox and The Chinese Room agreed to focus on additional polishing. The extra time allows us to refine certain elements, such as Fabien, and integrate feedback from the community."
While it's disappointing to hear about another delay
It's not entirely unexpected. Originally slated for a 2020 release, Bloodlines 2 has been postponed multiple times. For fans who have been eagerly awaiting the game, delays have become somewhat routine. However, this latest postponement is expected to be the last, as The Chinese Room is now in the final stages of development.
When Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 does eventually launch, it will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. For more details on the game’s current status, you can watch the new video linked Below:
